This novel was a curious thing, a classic yet set in a dystopian world where the moon crashes in to the earth and causes a ripple effect that spreads across the beaten up surface and those who survived the impact and floods that came afterwards.
I putting this novel off for a little while at first, mostly because I struggle with classic books sometimes but once I started to read it, I found myself liking it and the characters within the book.

I read Red Dragon back in December and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in to the next book and it wasn’t a disappointment, I think after reading the first two books of the Hannibal series, I’m starting to love the books more than the movies.
After I had finished The Silence Of the Lambs, I watched Red Dragon and this movie and found them lacking, there were some scenes from the books which I think would’ve made the movies so much better if they had been included and of some things hadn’t been switched too…while I understand that happens for reasons most of the time, it still sucks lol.
I plan on reading the third novel in April and I’m looking forward to it.

A great dystopian novel that is rather different to most others and also crosses over in to the fantasy side of things too.
In a world without rain in most places, america is pretty much on their knees while trying to survive. But with the rainmakers, there’s both hope and sorrow filled throughout the book.
At first I was a little unsure with this book when I first read the blurb of it, but once I started reading, I found that I couldn’t put it down at all and I enjoyed it quite a lot.

This is a rather great memoir of a lady in America and a bookshop in the Uk and the friendship that grew between them through the letters they sent to each other. Even the ending was amazing with the extra part added for when she finally got to visit London.
It made me both happy and sad to read this book and even sadder again when it came to the end. But it was such a great read.
